Strawberry Oreo Pudding Cookies from Jen's Favorite CookiesWhen I was a kid, my parents finished the basement, and I got to move into a downstairs bedroom.  Besides the independence of having my own room, my favorite part was choosing the colors we would use to decorate.

I chose grey and mauve.  What can I say, it was the 80’s.

I loved my pink and grey room.  I felt so cool in my little basement home, with the grey carpet and the pink curtains, and the pink and grey comforter on the bed.

These cookies remind me of those days.  The pink cookie with black Oreos has a very 80’s feel.  It’s okay though… the 80’s are in again.  Everything but the hair, that is.

Let’s hope that hair never comes back in style.  Some things are best forgotten.

Pudding cookies are so awesome.  They’re all soft and chewy and flavorful.  And when you use strawberry pudding in the cookies, it makes them pink.

Which is just darn cute.

The Oreo’s in them have two purposes.  The first purpose is to make them even yummier.  Because Oreo’s go with everything.

The second purpose is to take a cute pink cookie and give them that distinctly 80’s feel.

Need some lycra and hairspray with that cookie?

I have an aunt who lovesss anything strawberry…even to decorate with. I’ll have to make sure she gets this recipe. As for the pink and grey…I remember wanting a pink and grey bike, I remember when grey and white nikes were all the rage (I never got them but still want them) and I remember I had this one friend who had the best pink and grey room ever. My mother did her best, but we didn’t have much when I was growing up, so I always envied my friends pink and grey room. I did have a pink and grey doll stroller, though, lol. And yes, goodbye Aquanet hairspray 80’s hair.

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love the 80s. Sure, I was a kid back then but I worshipped my older sisters who were all over 80s clothes, hair, culture, music, tv, etc. It’s still my favourite decade for music. I even had an 80s theme stagette with tacky neon coloured clothes, crimped hair and sky high bangs. It was fabulous. Just as fabulous as these adorable pink ‘n black cookies. Um, of COURSE oreos make everything better! And I have to get on this baking w/ pudding bandwagon. Every cookie I’ve seen made with pudding looks incredible.
