Robb and I have been having this disagreement lately.
It all started when I decided to make some healthier eating choices. The truth is, I found the new rules to be kind of a drastic change from the old ones, and really difficult to stick to. So, I came up with a brilliant plan…
Half-measures.
I figured I could have a weaning-off period, a period during which I don’t completely give myself to the new lifestyle with wreckless abandon, but I start moving in that direction by getting halfway there. Robb has always been a black-and-white kind of guy, so the whole idea of half measures makes him nuts.
He says I should just do it, or not do it. Half measure are for wimps.
To each his own, I guess, my half measures have been working out great for me.
One of my alternatives to junk-food snacking this season is these Granola Bites. There is still enough sweetness in them to make them really fun and delicious, while packing a protein punch that keeps the cravings at bay.
Plus? I love peanut butter. YUM.
My alternative to drinking full sugar sodas all day is this Sunkist TEN. It tastes just like regular Sunkist, but only has 10 calories. Which makes it the PERFECT half-measure for this girl.
Sunkist isn’t the only awesome product from the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group (DPSG). If you’re not an orange soda kind of person, you might like the 7-up, A&W, or Canada Dry. You can easily find them all at Walmart, and you can even save money by using this coupon.
For you serious couponers out there, here are the details: This coupon saves you $0.50 off two 2-liter bottles or two 4-packs of Sunkist ten, 7-up ten, A&W ten, Canada Dry ten, or RC ten sodas. BUT… if you use the click to share function to share this coupon with your friends, it will take you to a new coupon that will give you $1.50 off, instead of just $0.50. (Offer available while supplies last, 3/27/14 – 4/17/14)
Great deal, huh?
While you’re at it, you might want to learn more about these drinks and the fun ways to use them at the Walmart DPSG page. You can also follow DPSG on Facebook or Twitter.

I could totally eat a bowl of these granola bites for breakfast!
Jen, I’m all about half measures (I basically half ass everything) so these PB granola bites sound good to me! I have every single one of these ingredients at home so I’m making these babies tonight! Or tomorrow. Remember, I never commit. But rest assured, they’ll happen soon because they sound delish!
