No-bake easy peanut butter bars; These chocolate peanut butter bars are very popular and can be made very quickly.
Periodically, I like to re-share some of my favorite recipes from past posts. It’s a win-win situation, when you think about it.
Or win-win-win, for you fellow fans of The Office. (If you haven’t seen it, there’s no way to describe it. Just watch this one-minute video clip for yourself!)
You win, for being reminded of one of this site’s most popular (and most awesome) posts ever.
My kids win, for getting to eat one of their favorite treats again.
I win, for not having to worry if my next recipe will turn out decent. I already know this one is solid.
It took the family no time at all to devour it.
I was actually worried they would devour it before I had a chance to photograph it, because I left the house for several hours, while the Hippie Chick and I attended a bridal shower. You never know what will happen to those unattended treats.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: the simplest treats are the best. The original version of this post has thousands of pins. (That’s conclusive proof… right?!)
Plus, it has the trifecta: peanut butter, chocolate, and NO BAKING. And only 5 ingredients. That’s not a trifecta, what do you call that? A quadrafecta? Is that even a word? At any rate, it’s weekend treat perfection.
May I now urge you to check out the original post? That’s where the recipe will be.
As long as we’re all here, I’ll throw in a couple things I have learned about this recipe.
First, keep it in the fridge. Especially if it is the least bit warm in your house. The texture is better when it’s cold, and you’re less likely to get chocolate all over your favorite shirt. Not that I know anything about that.
Second, buy the boxed graham cracker crumbs. Because what good does it do you to throw together a brilliant 5- minute dessert if you have to spend 10 minutes chopping up graham crackers and another 10 minutes cleaning the food processor?
Third, you can totally use cookie cutters to make these babies double cute. Use the egg-shaped cutter for Easter, and the tree-shaped cutter for Christmas, and the star for the 4th of July. It might reduce your urge to buy Reese’s candies at those holidays.
But I make no guarantees.

Yum these look incredible!! And you have to love that they are no bake!
There sure wouldn’t be any left if I was in the house. I can’t be trusted around peanut butter and chocolate. 🙂
These look great! Thanks for revisiting them. I missed them the first time around. 🙂 Quick, no-bake deserts are perfect as the weather warms up!
Quadfectra sounds like a pretty good word to me! I love these bars – they look fantastic. I’m especially in awe of the perfect sharp lines you made when you cut them. I’m going to check out the original post right now.
Do you have to use ghrahm cracker crumbs? What can you use in place of it
Kyrie, I can’t think of a good substitute for graham cracker crumbs offhand. What kind of problem is it to use the graham crackers?
Hey Jen, I’ve had a hankering for these for a while and found your post. Yours looks the best but gotta ask, I like my peanut butter all natural from the local market. I’m guessing all natural peanut butter is not the way to go in preparing these bars. Any suggestions?
I’ve never tried this recipe with natural peanut butter, and to be honest, I really have no experience with it at all. I can’t imagine it would make that much of a difference, though. Regular peanut butter has a few things added to keep it from separating, but is otherwise the same. If the consistency doesn’t seem quite heavy enough, you can always add a bit more powdered sugar. (This recipe is not exactly rocket science!) You may also want to read this article about using natural vs. regular peanut butter in baking: http://bakingbites.com/2009/03/natural-peanut-butter-vs-regular-peanut-butter-in-baking/ Good luck, and let me know how it goes! I’ll be very interested to hear.
Peanut butter and chocolate, can’t go wrong with that combination!
Just made these babies a few hours ago. But here in Australia, Graham cracker crumbs aren’t readily available. So I bought a packet of Arnotts Marie biscuits and crushed them all myself. The results are just as delicious!

can I use digestive biscuits instead of graham cracker crumbs
I can’t find them
If you can’t find graham crackers, you could try using vanilla wafers. I am not familiar with digestive biscuits, so I can’t say for sure, but from what I understand of them, I suspect they would work okay. If you try it, please come back and let us know how they turned out!
