A peanut butter rice krispies treat with chocolate-butterscotch frosting.

Serves: 20
Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 7 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 6 oz. chocolate chips
  • 6 oz. butterscotch chips
Instructions
  1. Combine peanut butter, sugar, and corn syrup over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is well combined and loose.
  2. Place cereal in a large mixing bowl. Pour hot peanut butter mixture over cereal, and stir to coat.
  3. Press into a 9x13 pan.
  4. Place chocolate and butterscotch chips in a microwave safe bowl, and melt in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring between each, until completely melted.
  5. Pour melted chips over cereal mixture, spreading to frost evenly.
  6. Cool completely before serving. (I like to let them chill in the refrigerator.)
