Raspberry Sorbet

A simple frozen raspberry sorbet.
Recipe type: Frozen Dessert
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 cups fresh raspberries
  • 1 lemon
  • ¼ cup corn syrup
  1. Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, and let boil for about 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  2. While syrup cools, place berries in a blender or food processor. Juice the lemon, and add lemon juice to berries. Blend or process until smooth. (This should make about 2 cups of puree.)
  3. Add corn syrup and simple syrup to berries. Blend until smooth.
  4. Pour mixture into a plastic container with a lid, and freeze. Stir mixture every 30 minutes for 4-5 hours until mixture is set. Serve frozen.
