A peanut butter krispie treat with chocolate frosting.

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 7 cups rice krispies cereal
  • 6 oz. chocolate chips
  • 6 oz. butterscotch chips
  1. Combine peanut butter, sugar, and corn syrup in a saucepan. Heat over medium high heat, stirring occasionally, until well combined and sugar is mostly dissolved.
  2. Pour cereal into a large bowl. Pour warm peanut butter mixture over cereal, and stir until well combined.
  3. Press mixture into a 9x13 pan.
  4. Place chocolate and butterscotch chips in a bowl, and microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring between each, until melted and combined.
  5. Pour chocolate mixture over krispie treats, using a knife to spread evenly. Refrigerate for 20-30 minutes, until chocolate is set. Cut into 12 large or 20 small bars.
