Pomegranate Ice Cream Topping

A simple pomegranate syrup makes an excellent ice cream topping.
Recipe type: Dessert
Serves: 4
  • 1 cup pomegranate arils
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ tsp. almond extract
  1. Combine pomegranate arils, sugar, and water in a pot and bring to a boil. Simmer for 10-12 minutes, until syrup thickens and has a dark purple color.
  2. Remove from heat and add almond extract.
  3. Serve warm or cold over ice cream.
